Ice Ka is a product line under Ice Beverages Private Limited, based in Bhutan. The name “Ice Ka” was conferred by a Buddhist Rinpoche in adherence to Bhutanese naming customs.
The term “Ice” represents the inaugural letter of the company’s name, while “Ka” signifies snow or ice in a dialect prevalent in central Bhutan. Additionally, “Ka” holds significance as the primary character in both the Dzongkha “ཀ” alphabet and the consonant or vyanjan in the Hindi alphabet “क” (ka).. This choice embodies the aspiration for the brand to ascend to the zenith of its respective categories.
In Hindi, “Ka” also connotes ownership, as seen in expressions like “Aap Ka, Is Ka, Yus Ka,” fostering a profound sense of belonging and ownership among consumers, dealers, and any individuals or groups affiliated with the brand.
Ice Ka stands as a potential pioneer as the premier brand hailing from Bhutan and bearing the distinctive label of “Made in Bhutan” within the CSD (Carbonated Soft Drink) category of beverage products.
